The Lantern Theatre

Since 2006, the Lantern Theatre puts on a play in Beijing each spring, the proceeds of which are wholly donated to Children of Madaifu. This theatre troup, made up of French-speaking aspiring Thespians and led expertly by director Isy Chautemps since 2009, revisits classic as well as contemporary plays. Chinese subtitles make it possible for Chinese audiences to appreciate our repertoire.

Throughout the years…

2012 : Le Libertin (Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt)

2011 : Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme (Molière)

2010 : A toi pour toujours, ta Marilou (Michel Tremblay)
